The farm house nextdoor was built in 1870 and has been in the same family since then. Although it might not be the oldest building in my area, it certainly ranks right up there. The barn was likely built around the same time, and has magnificent, hand hewn beams in it, as well as actual stripped trees for cross supports in the large bay area. The wisp wanted to show off the barn area especially, as there are frequently strange sounds and smells that come from the large bay. We're certain that the chupacabra uses it as a frequent den area. The horses seemed to have adjusted to the presence of the chupacabra, and there must be enough deer and small game in the area to keep it satisfied. It does concern me though, on late winter nights when game is scarce and I'm in the big bay getting hay for the horses....

There's definitely a cryptid hiding around there.
