12 Days of Christmas Cookies: Day 3


One more for the Slightly Sinister recipe box...Sweet tooths beware!


Recipe: Holly Leaves


Ingredients:


1 10 1/2-ounce package of small marshmallows (about 6 cups)


12 tablespoons butter


5 cups corn flakes (unfrosted)


Green food coloring


Red Hots cinnamon hard candies


Steps:


1. Melt butter on medium heat.


2. Add 6 cups of marshmallows.


3. Stir until butter and marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth.


4. Tint mixture with green food coloring.


4. Add half of the cornflakes and combine until flakes are fully covered in green marshmallow slime.


5. Add the rest of your cornflakes and mix until well combined.


6. Drop a spoonful on wax paper, ensuring your mixture doesn’t spread.


7. Add 3 Red Hots cinnamon hard candies to each holly leaf cookie.


8. Let completely cool and refrigerate before attempting to move them onto a platter. The cookies will stick together if stored stacked on top of each other, so place a piece of wax paper between each layer of cookies if storing in a large Tupperware box.


9. Enjoy!
